The FMCG market is one of the most stable. In particular, the biscuits market as a segment of the Ukrainian pastries market is an investment-attractive and relatively stable niche.
However, serious political and economic perturbations in the country during 2013-2014 couldn’t
but affect it.
During the study, Yasno Research & Consulting Group specialists studied the state of the biscuits market in 2016, the positions of key players, and consumer trends.
For a detailed analysis of the market, a desk search was carried out. The analysis of secondary data was carried out, including statistical information and data from market players.
Thus, the results of the marketing research showed that the price increase and decline in production output are continuing in 2016 at the Ukrainian biscuits market, but their rates are not so high as they were two year earlier. The foreign trade turnover continues decreasing and the opportunity for the export to a number of the countries is narrowing, but at the same time the manufacturers actively cultivate new markets, work at European certificating, new recipes and packages.
The home consumers are still oriented at the products of the “low” price segment, however, they are interested in the product to be healthy.
